REF FM IS HIRING: MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER (VIDEO / PHOTO / SOCIAL)
REF FM is looking for a creative and skilled Multimedia Producer to turn local news into strong visual content for social media and digital platforms.
You will work at the heart of REF FM’s new digital newsroom, making sure stories from the field are clear, engaging and visually strong.
This role is about editing, publishing and shaping stories, so they reach as many people in Kakuma and Kalobeyei and the host communities as possible.
WHO WE ARE
REF FM Foundation is a non-profit media organisation providing local, credible news for forcibly displaced communities, created by the community itself.
With over five years of experience running REF FM community radio stations, REF FM is now expanding into digital, mobile-first, content-driven media.
REF FM KK is part of FilmAid Kenya, and one of the first locations where this new approach is being tested.

YOUR ROLE: MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER
You turn raw news into strong digital content.
You will:
Edit short videos for social media
Select and edit photos
Clean and prepare audio where needed
Publish content on social media and digital platforms
Help shape how stories are presented visually
Work fast and accurately in a daily news rhythm
You work closely with:
News Hunters (Mobile Journalists)
The REF FM News Editor (Editor-in-Chief)
Professional mentors providing guidance
