REF Media Network is the media network of Stichting REF FM, a Dutch non-profit organisation dedicated to community-based media and refugee empowerment.
We believe that people should be able to tell their own stories and have access to reliable, relevant information in their own communities.
REF Media Network brings together three complementary activities
REF FM
Community radio stations run by refugees and host communities, providing local information, news, education and entertainment.
REF Stories
Refugee-led digital storytelling teams producing short-form video, audio and written stories for local audiences and digital platforms.
REF Studio
A professional media production service through which Stichting REF FM provides content production services to NGOs and other organizations.
REF Media Network is not a separate legal entity. It is the network and operating identity of Stichting REF FM.
