MAHAMA, SEP 2024 - Experts from REF FM FOUNDATION in The Netherlands have helped kick start a new REF FM station near Mahama, the biggest refugee camp in Rwanda. The station will explicitly focus on all people living in the area (not singling out refugees only) and this way will help the refugees to quicker integrate in Rwanda.
The initiator of the station, Jean Paul Nduwimana, a former singer and a social entrepreneur, must still get the approval of MINEMA the ministry in charge of emergency management, before broadcasting can start. But he is convinced he will succeed.
